Project profile

Production snapshot

Spiritwood Chapel brings a painted concept by Florent Boston for Groupe Arcane into 3D: a small timber chapel on stilts beneath an ancient tree, tied to the shore by ropes, ladders and lantern arcs. Tornike Gedianidze built the finished scene; the gallery shows it from four views, with the concept beside it.

Story

From direction to finished environment

Challenge

Make a small timber chapel remain the focal point against an ancient tree, dark forest, reflective water, suspended lanterns, and drifting spirit light.

Approach

Warm wood and candle tones separate the chapel from the purple night, while repeated ropes, platforms, rocks, and lantern arcs connect the architecture to the tree and shoreline.

Result

The concept’s mood carried into a finished scene, shown from four views next to the original concept reference so the translation is easy to follow.

Making of

How it was made

  • From painting to 3D

Built from Florent Boston’s painting for Groupe Arcane: the meshes were modeled in Blender and given stylized, hand-painted textures.

  • Light and spirits in Unreal

The scene was assembled in Unreal Engine, where the lanterns, the night lighting and the drifting spirit-light effects were added.
